LOCAL HISTORY
On October 16, 1998 the Oklahoma State University Colony of the Chi Phi Fraternity was officially born.  On October 20, 1999 the Colony gained admittance into the OSU Interfraternity Council.  The OSU COLONY became the Alpha Theta Chapter of the Chi Phi Fraternity on October 20, 2000.
The first major philanthropic event we did was our Kick Diabetes Kickball Tournament in March of 1999.  Since then, we have begun an annual Car Bash held in conjunction with the OSU Bonfire Bash and a Haunted House (The Hester Street Massacre).  The chapter also participates in the campus community service projects like the Big Event and Into the Streets.

One of the future planned events for the chapter is MUD BOWL.  MUD BOWL is held in the fall and is basically a series of football games played in a pit of mud.  The first game's matchup is our Fraternity against a 'Visitor' and the second game features two sorority houses playing each other for the championship.
We came to the Oklahoma State University campus in the Spring of 1998 when active member Todd Crane transferred from the Alpha-Tau Chapter of Chi Phi at the University of Michigan.

During the first semester of the Oklahoma State Colony, we saw all eighteen of our pledges become initiated brothers and have continued to maintain an excellent rate of initiation.
